Under wraps
2007-09-03 17:30 -
I’ve been keeping a personal half to my (largely) professional main blog under wraps since May and only shared the link with my closest friends. Now that my life is no longer in so much flux, I felt that the time was right to share the experiences I’ve had over the past three months with my general base of readers.
As a general rule, I don’t mix my personal life with my professional life, especially when it comes to touchy subjects. However, as I get into LGBT activism, I feel that having my voice be public will be very effective in helping to promote understanding and awareness as well as providing advice and support to others.
Before I give a link, I want to note that the content there, unlike my main blog, may be not safe for work, contain graphic written descriptions, be TMI, or otherwise be considered offensive; there are no images.
The place that I recommend that new readers begin is with a note I sent out in the beginning of May to my friends at Caltech explaining what was in store for me in the coming months. Once you’re caught up, the URL of the blog where the most recent postings appear is http://elizabeth.caltech.edu/personal
If you want to have a conversation with me about anything at all that I’ve written over the past 4 months, please feel free to contact me at elizabeth@ctyalcove.org or leave a comment on the blog. I greatly welcome any and all questions, and am happy to educate others about my condition.
Sincerely,
Liz
